Dubai has quickly earned a reputation for being the luxury beach getaway of choice for the rich, famous and wannabes. The flight from London to Dubai is quite short at around 6 hours and upon landing you are transported to a totally unique city - a world of opulence, cutting edge architecture and vibrant nightlife. The most famous piece of architecture in recent years has to be the Burj Al Arab, the iconic 5 star hotel (although it is often touted as the only 6 star hotel in the world) that is the subject of our design. Among the tallest hotels in the world, it was built on a man-made island that took 3 years to claim from the sea. Inside is a luxury paradise. As well as a private beach, the hotel also offers a unique afternoon tea experience overlooking the Dubai skyline, a Royals Royce shuttle service and a spectacular world class spa. Dubai is a fanatic of creating man-made land. One of the other infamous constructions is the World Islands, which are located about 4 km off the coast and are designed to resemble a map of the world when viewed from above. The project is still under construction to this day. The weather in Dubai is definitely something when it comes to the appeal of this glamorous city - in the summer months it reaches highs into the mid-40s (Celsius), but even in the winter months it only drops as low as the twenties, meaning it's great to stroll around the city or on the beach all year round. The other main attraction is the hotels, which are on another level. Many hotels in Dubai offer 4 and 5 star accommodation with luxurious decor, attentive staff and top-notch facilities.
