At the southern end of the Balinese map, the resort of Seminyak is bursting with all the fun and luxury you would hope for when visiting such a beautiful tropical destination.

If you're a beach lover, this is definitely the resort for you. The most popular stretch of sand, Double Six Beach, stretches for five hundred metres and is good for strolling or enjoying a meal at one of the many restaurants. The most popular time to visit, however, is at sunset, when the beach hotels and accommodations lay out colourful bean bags and umbrellas (as we featured in our print) to make the moment extra special.

If being a bit more active is more your style, Seminyak is also a great place to enjoy things both in and out of the water. Surfing and diving are incredibly popular, as is horse riding along the coast. There's also the option to indulge in a bit of pampering at a spa or yoga studio.

When traveling to Bali, you need to know when it's time to leave. Because the island is subject to extreme weather conditions, very dry and very wet, tourists often avoid the first few months of the year to avoid the latter. As with most summer holidays, if you want to enjoy a little more sun and a little less rain on your trips abroad, especially if it's a stunning beach, then between the months of April and October is the best time to go.
